Orchard Medical Centre

It’s Autumn 2022. Do I still wear a face covering when visiting the Medical Centre?

Yes, the extended use of face coverings in hospitals and primary care was reviewed by Scottish Government in July 2022. Based on that review the Scottish Government guidance is that face coverings should continue to be worn in these settings until at least Spring 2023.

This recommendation was made in recognition that healthcare environments continue to care for more clinically vulnerable individuals, current community prevalence of COVID-19, waning protection from the COVID-19 vaccine, the latest international practices, and in preparation for winter 2022/23 (with the possibility of increased transmission of COVID-19 and other winter respiratory viruses in circulation).
